Senior Functional NetSuite Consultant

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior Functional NetSuite Consultant with 10–15+ years of hands-on ERP implementation experience to lead and manage NetSuite projects end-to-end. The ideal candidate will have strong functional expertise across Finance and operational modules and a solid understanding of accounting principles to align ERP solutions with business objectives.

This role requires close collaboration with finance teams, operations stakeholders, and technical teams to ensure successful implementation, optimization, and continuous improvement of NetSuite ERP systems.

Key Responsibilities

1. Business Requirement Gathering & Solution Design

Engage with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements.

Translate business needs into NetSuite functional configurations.

Design scalable ERP solutions aligned with financial and operational processes.

2. NetSuite Implementation & Optimization

Lead full-cycle NetSuite implementations, upgrades, and enhancements.

Configure core modules including Finance, Procurement, Inventory, and CRM.

Optimize workflows, approval processes, dashboards, and reporting frameworks.

Identify process gaps and recommend automation and system improvements.

3. Functional Customization & Integration

Develop detailed functional specifications for customizations and third-party integrations.

Work closely with technical teams to ensure accurate development and deployment.

Validate system changes through UAT and ensure smooth go-live support.

4. Reporting & ERP Efficiency

Build advanced reports, saved searches, KPIs, and dashboards for business insights.

Improve financial reporting accuracy and operational visibility.

Ensure data integrity and compliance with accounting standards.

5. Training & Post-Implementation Support

Conduct end-user training sessions and create documentation.

Provide ongoing functional support and troubleshoot system issues.

Act as a subject matter expert for NetSuite across the organization.

Required Qualifications

·       10–15+ years of experience in NetSuite ERP implementation and functional consulting.

·       Strong expertise in core NetSuite modules:

·       Finance (GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Revenue Recognition)

·       Procurement

·       Inventory Management

·       CRM

·       Hands-on experience in configuring workflows, reports, dashboards, and role-based permissions.

·       Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.

·       Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder communication skills.

Educational Preference

CA Inter / Chartered Accountant (preferred)

B.Com (Accounts / Finance background preferred)

Strong accounting and financial systems knowledge is highly desirable.

Good to Have

NetSuite Certification (ERP Consultant / Administrator)

Experience with multi-subsidiary environments

Exposure to integrations with third-party systems

Experience in finance-driven ERP transformations

Position Title: ERP Functional Consultant

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced ERP Functional Consultant with in-depth expertise across ERP modules, with a strong focus on the financial modules. The candidate will be responsible for leading end-to-end implementation, requirement analysis, solution design, and post-implementation support for clients, ensuring seamless integration of their business processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead full-cycle ERP implementations with a focus, but not limited to, Financials (Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Fixed Assets, and Financial Reporting).
• Work closely with stakeholders to gather business requirements and translate them into functional specifications.
• Configure, test, and deploy ERP modules, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
• Collaborate with technical teams to design, integrate, and customize ERP functionalities based on client needs.
• Conduct user training, prepare documentation, and provide go-live and post-implementation support.
• Ensure cross-functional integration with Procurement, Inventory, Sales, HR, and Project Management modules.
• Participate in financial data migration, validation, and system audits.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying process gaps and recommending system enhancements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master's degree in finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on ERP implementation experience, preferably in financial and accounting modules.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial processes, and business workflows.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar platforms.
• Proven track record in requirement gathering, solution design, and functional testing.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast-paced environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• ERP certification in Financials (e.g., NetSuite Financials / SAP FI) a plus.
• Exposure to AI-powered ERP systems or automation tools a plus.
• Prior experience working in implementation projects across multiple industries.
